ABU DHABI — Dr Ali Juma, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, paid a visit to the General Authority of Islamic and Endowment Affairs where he was received by Dr Hamdan Al Mazroue, head of the authority.
Dr Ali Juma toured various sections of the authority including the toll-free fatwa line, where he saw scholars answering the queries of the public.
The Grand Mufti of Egypt praised the moderate fatwas issued by the authority, saying they reflected the true Islam. Dr Juma also answered some public inquiries.
Dr Al Mazroue said on the occasion that the authority was currently installing electronic boards in 300 mosques to create a link between the mosques and the authority. Dr Juma also paid a visit to the tomb of late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
