A report of the Audit Bureau disclosed that Mohammed Jassim Mohammed has been working in two government posts without the officials at the Ministry of Education (MoE) pointing out the legal offence.

Authoritative sources at the Ministry said the second department where Jassim had been working has communicated in an official letter that it will work to recover all the amounts paid to him since December 21, 1978.

The Audit Bureau sources said the second government department had opened an investigation regarding the said employee who was on its payroll and simultaneously worked with the MoE.

The employee was aware that what he was doing is a violation of the law and the rules and regulations governing work and employment in the UAE, the sources said.

Therefore, the said department has decided to recover all the amounts of money paid to him over the past years and urged that the MoE take action against its employees in the event of breaching the rules.

The source said what had happened underlined what had been confirmed by the audit bureau in its previous reports on the weak and poor internal control whether with regard to financial or administrative matters.

Such misgiving had led to many legal violations, which many still existing until now, the source added.
