The group consisting of two delegations, each comprising 15 students and accompanying faculty members, is in the UAE to participate in a design charette related to the development of Sharjah's Al Khan Peninsula.

The charette, which begins tomorrow, will be held in cooperation with AUS architecture students. Seven teams, each including students from all three schools, will propose their development strategies for the site. Organised by AUS Assistant Professor of Architecture, Florian Techel, this visit is the latest step toward developing academic ties between AUS and prominent German universities.
