GDS accord with Empost

DUBAI — The General Department of Security (GDS) at Dubai International Airport has entered into an agreement with Empost to send, at a reasonale price, any hand-baggage item confiscated by the police at any inspection point at the airport.

Brigadier Pilot Ahmed Mohamed bin Thani , Director of General Department of Security Airport, has warned the public against carrying any baggage for unknown persons as it is the passenger carrying it who will be liable for any baggage rule or security violations .

He said that the Department has overcome the phenomenon of 'suitcase merchants' which was one of the problems affecting Dubai International Airport.
