DUBAI — Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul Rahman Al Attiya has expressed deep grief on the demise of Shaikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, saying that his successor would follow in his steps to make more gains.
"We in the GCC have lost a prominent personality who tremendously contributed to pushing the GCC common action forward,” Attiya said in a statement to Wam after offering condolences to His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
