FUJAIRAH — Around 28 satellite TV channels will be launched in the emirate as the licences for them have been issued by the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, Habib Hammoud, CEO of the Fujairah Media City, said yesterday, adding that 12 of them will go on air next month.

His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, visited the Fujairah Media City and Fujairah Broadcasting Service to check the work in progress.

Shaikh Hamad, accompanied by Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Fujairah Crown Prince, Shaikh Rashid bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of Culture and Information Authority, also visited the Fujairah FM Radio and Dunya TV.
