Fujairah pardons 70 prisoners
FUJAIRAH — His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, ordered for the release of 70 prisoners, who had proven to be well behaved while serving their terms in the punitive and reformative institutions in the emirate.
The prisoners are given amnesty from serving the remaining period in their prison terms as a gesture of benevolence marking the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
This will give them the opportunity to join their families soon and live the rest of their lives as good individuals, said Director General of Fujairah Police Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed Ghanem Al Kaabi, who extended profound gratitude to the ruler for this kind gesture. — Wam
