Fujairah gets more lamp-posts
FUJAIRAH — In its all-out efforts to provide amenity services for the convenience of residents, the Fujairah Municipality has installed as many as 800 lamp posts in different parts of the emirate, especially in the industrial areas and the dark and dim-lit streets.
Lamp poles were extended as far as 20km, according to Rashid Hamdan, Director of the Fujairah Municipality. Illumination included 10km at the Al Hail Industrial Area, he said, adding that lamp posts were also installed at the Municipality Square, the Veterinary Quarantine, five truck axle weighing stations in Fujairah, and Juma (Friday) Bazaar.
Other areas where lamp posts were fixed included Massafi and Thoban.
The Municipality would continue installing new lampposts, particularly in far-flung areas, he added.
