“I used to close my eyes and imagine the best way I could portray my love for my country,” Mohammed Hassan Al Marzouqi, who won Dh100,000 in the ADACH organised competition, said while talking to Khaleej Times.

Mohammed, a 36-year-old working with the Abu Dhabi Fishermen’s Cooperative Society, said he decorated his car in Abu Dhabi.

“I got all the stickers ready, took the help of the computer and a friend in getting them ready.”

“At the same time I kept imagining the designs and kept cancelling them and the stickers and other material for the final design, if I didn’t like them. Finally, the perfect design came to my mind, after rejecting some four designs.”

“Then I got down to putting it on the car with the help of my friend. It took 10 hours work each day for four days to get the decorated car on the road,” Mohammed said.

“After winning the first prize I was so happy that I could not speak,” said an excited Mohammed, who spent a total of Dh7,000 on decorating his car.
