Forum to help students share experience

ABU DHABI — The third Students Forum will be orgainsed here from April 19 to 27, the Ministry of Education has announced.

Under the patronage of Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Forum, titled, ‘Ghars Zayed’ that would be held at the Armed Forces Officers Club.

On behalf the Education Minister, Dr Hanif Hassan, Mohammad Hindi, Assistant Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education (MoE), will read out Dr Hanif’s speech.

“It is important to help our students to share their experiences with others. Since they will be the backbone of society we have to give them the experience they need to lead the country forward,” the minister said.

Mubarak Al Shamsi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec), said, “We are still learning from the late Shaikh Zayed’s wisdom. The forum will embody the achievements of the late Shaikh Zayed. The forum this year will receive students from GCC countries.”

More than 100 students from schools and universities across the country will participate in the forum.

The forum’s programme includes meetings of the students with a number of top officials to gain from their experiences. The Minister of State for FNC Affairs, Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, will meet the students to explain to them his election experience.

Minister of Labour Dr Ali bin Abdullah Al Kaabi, Dr Hanif Hassan, Minister of Social Affairs Dr Mariam Mohammed Khalfan Al Roumi, and Lt.-Gen. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, will also address the students.
