Verve 04 is scheduled to take place at the Le Meridien Dubai Hotel from October 1.

The two-day exhibition-cum-forum is expected to attract a large number of health and fitness professionals, sports enthusiasts and representatives from the world’s leading consumer brands specialising in lifestyles, fitness and wellness segments.

The DTCM Executive Events, Qusai Obaidallah, said: “The department’s sponsorship for the Middle East’s premier event stems from the fact that Dubai is now a leading lifestyle destination offering the best in healthcare and wellness. The first event of its kind offers the best opportunity to showcase the world-class facilities and services that Dubai offers to the residents and visitors.”

Dubai is already home to some of the world’s best luxurious resorts, spas and sporting facilities. In the coming years, its attraction as a lifestyle destination is set to increase with the completion of ambitious projects from Emaar and Nakheel among other organisations.

The world’s first ‘intelligent city’ has already become a reality, with the Dubai Marina project and a series of waterfront developments by both public and private sector entities bound to make the emirate even more attractive to the world at large.

The department has recently released a colourful brochure on the spas in Dubai, highlighting the best in the fast-growing niche health tourism segment.

The event features a series of lectures by experts covering Alternative Health Education, Fitness Issues and Stress Reduction Techniques. There will be demonstrations by professionals of martial arts, aerobics as well as dancers. There will be tournaments for tennis, basketball, squash, indoor rowing and salsa.

Verve 04 participants are expected to include big brands like Les Mills, Nautilus, Lifefitness, Technogym, Schwinn and Reebok. There will be guest appearances by a number of Olympics stars.

An extensive promotional campaign is currently underway for the event in the local market and overseas.
