Forum on 'ethics and students' organised

SHARJAH — The School Health Administration of Sharjah Medical Zone, in coordination with Ministry of Health, organised yesterday the first forum on school health titled “Danger of unethical behaviour of students“ at the Sharjah Cultural Palace.

The event was held under the patronage of Hamad Abdul Rahman Al Midfa, UAE Minister of Health, and attended by Shaikh Mohammed Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Director-General of Sharjah Medical Zone, as well as officials from Ministry of Health and medical zones of other emirates.

The programme of events, organised under the slogan “Our Generations Would Grow with Help of Their Best Ethics”, featured various activities including speeches by Dr Mariam Al Matroushi, Head of the Health Administration at the Ministry, and Shaikh Mohammed bin Saqr Al Qasimi. A drama was staged which highlighted the dangers of smoking among students and songs were presented by students of various schools.

Many administrators and sponsors were honoured by Shaikh Mohammed bin Saqr Al Qasim. They included those from Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah Medical Zone for their excellent contribution to maintaining satisfactory health standards in schools.

The forum also featured three sessions in which six working papers were presented by several professors and social workers as well as physicians from various social and health institutions.
