Company foremen should understand that if the labourers are made to relax out in the open without any shade, the workers are bound to suffer from exhaustion and dehydration, what with temperatures and humidity levels soaring up.

But companies, which provide them with shade, are bound to reap the benefits of such measures. The workers, at the end of the break period, are in good physical shape to take up work again, and their productivity is maintained. They are also bound to work with commitment and devotion because of the good facilities provided, and the companies also save on medical expenses, which they would have otherwise incurred. But still, even at the cost of sounding a bit persistent, we would like to remind the companies that the labour ministry had stipulated that the labourers should be put up in air-conditioned areas during the break, besides being provided with cold water. If implemented, this can produce even better results.
