The centre has urged residents to collect weather bulletins from the centre before going out during night and early mornings.

High humidity and a drop in temperature, particularly at night, caused the early morning fog.

On Thursday morning, the visibility level dropped less than 50 metres on the Al Ain-Abu Dhabi highway and 100 metres on the Dubai and Abu Dhabi highway, the centre said.

In Dubai and the Western Region, visibility levels dropped to 100 metres, while in Sharjah and Al Ain it went down to 200 metres, and in Jebel Ali, to 300 metres according to the centre.

Usually, fog begins to form after 12.30am bringing visibility levels to as low as 50 metres, which is very dangerous.

The maximum temperature in the interiors of the country in the coming days will be between 38 and 42 degrees celsius, and minimum temperatures will be between 21 and 26 degrees. Maximum humidity level will be between 70 and 99 per cent and minimum between 15 and 30 per cent.
