"Emirates flights to Beirut remain suspended up to and including May 15. We continue to monitor the situation closely," an Emirates Airlines spokesperson said.

However, he said the airline continued to operate its largest aircraft, the A330-200, on the Damascus route with demand remaining high as people flee Lebanon travelling via Damascus.
