Firms urged to make use of amnesty offer
ABU DHABI – The Ministry of Labour (MoL) has urged companies to get the status of their illegal workers regularised during the amnesty period which ends on September 2.
Obaid Rashid Al Zahmi, assistant under-secretary at the MoL, has urged company owners and their agents to benefit from the amnesty as it was a golden opportunity to do so.
“I want the companies and labourers to act before the amnesty period ends.
The punishments for sheltering or recruiting illegal workers after the amnesty period ends are going to be very stern,” Al Zahmi warned.
