Final curricula

DUBAI — The Ministry of Education and Youth (MoEY) has finalised the content of the curricula of three compulsory subjects Arabic language, Social Studies and Islamic Instructions for Arab students who are studying in foreign private schools.

The Ministry decided to teach the first parts of the Islamic instructions to the students of Grades 1, 2 and 3 from the basic stage. The Arabic language curriculum will be taught to the students of Grades 1 and 2 of the primary section. The Ministry decided to teach the first part and the second part of Civics for the students of Grades 1, 2 and 3 of the primary stage. It has also been decided that the subjects of Civics, Social Studies and History will be taught to the students of Grades 7, 8 and 9.

The Ministry of Education has modified the curriculum of the Arabic language for the students of Grade 12. The social studies curriculum for the non-Arabic speakers in the foreign private schools has been specified and the modifications will be circulated to all the schools within this week.
