The FilCom-DNEGC is the governing council for all the 101 Filipino organisations and clubs accredited by the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.

The candidate will be chosen from among the 12 organisations elected on September 16.

Of the 12, the first six will have a two-year term, and the remaining six will serve in the council for one year according to the Filcom DNE constitution and by-laws.

Matilyn Bagunu, president of the St Mary’s Filipino Community Choir, which topped the elections with 52 votes, said that her group has not reached any decision yet to run for the chairmanship of the FilCom.
