Abu Dhabi: The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) will host public forums in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah to introduce residents in those emirates to FANR’s role in ensuring the safe, secure and peaceful uses of the nuclear energy in the UAE.

The forum will be held on January 27 in Ras Al Khaimah and on January 28 in Fujairah. FANR regularly hosts such forums as part of its efforts to inform UAE residents about the nation’s peaceful nuclear power programme and, in particular, to explain FANR’s role in nuclear safety, security and safeguards.

The two upcoming forums will feature senior officials from various FANR departments who will discuss FANR’s regulatory work, scholarship and employment opportunities, and its responsibility within the nuclear programme.
