Etisalat's e-Company adds 88 courses, 19 libraries on web site

DUBAI — e-Company, Etisalat's one-stop e-powerhouse Business Unit that provides Internet services and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) solutions, on Monday announced the addition of 88 courses and 19 new libraries, from Element K Middle East, on its e-Learning site at www.learnonline.ae thus bringing the total number of courses available to 1,739.

The new courses include Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Domino 6.0/6.5, International Computer Driving License (ICDL) Syllabus Version 4.0 in Arabic and English, Novell Certified Linux Engineer, Project +, Security Awareness, Six Sigma, Storage Networking, Windows Sharepoint Services, J2EE, and ASP.NET.

These courses also include additions to existing libraries to update them with the latest software releases such as Visio 2003, MS Office 2004 for Macintosh, Crystal Reports 10, Fireworks MX, Lotus Notes 6.5 and QuickBooks 2004. The new courses also include newly released Cisco certified courses and business courses.

According to Abdulla Hashim, Senior Manager, eCompany, "These additions significantly increase the online learning opportunities available through the LearnOnline site. The comprehensive nature of courses offered on LearnOnline has proved to be quite popular with a lot of users thus reinforcing the growing trend towards e-Learning in the UAE. The courses are interactive, relevant and focused, and are designed to stimulate the learner through the effective use of media."
