He said the current Haj season had witnessed no gross violations and most of the compalints related to problems in providing internal transport between Mina and Arafat areas, and between where the pilgrims lived in the holy city of Makkah and the holy mosque of Makkah. Complaints were also reported of poor supply of meals to pilgrims.

In the case of transport, Al Mazrouei said the official Haj Mission intervened immediately and rented buses to shift the pilgrims and the amount spent on hiring of additional buses will be deducted from the tour operators’ deposit money.

Al Mazrouei said no UAE pilgrim was subject to quarantine in Saudi Arabia.
