Empost to deliver nationals’ I-cards

ABU DHABI — The Emirates Identity Authority (EIA) would start delivering new identity cards to the nationals by Empost from this month, it was announced here yesterday.

People who have registered under the residence registration programme will receive their I-cards at their desired addresses mentioned in the forms.

According to EIA Director-General Darwish Ahmed Al Zarooni, “This step is to facilitate the people. The measure has been taken under the directives of the UAE Government to provide excellent and modern services to the customers.”

The I-cards will be handed over only to the actual claimant or a person already registered in the records of the EIA. It will be delivered with a prior message to him and in case it does not reach the right person, it will be returned to the EIA.
