Emirati toppers get Hamdan scholarships

ABU DHABI — Under the directives of Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Abu Dhabi University (ADU) Board of Trustees and Governors, ADU has rewarded some of the Emirati high school toppers with His Highness Shaikh Hamdan scholarships. The scholarship will cover their four-year education programme, including tuition and administrative fees.

The Dh10 million in grants and financial aid is the largest of its kind offered by governmental or private higher education institution.

Commenting on the grant, Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Chairman of ADU’s Executive Board of Governors, said, “His Highness Shaikh Hamdan’s scholarships are just one of the ways through which we strive to encourage students to pursue higher education.”
