According to a Press statement, the decision came following the UPU meetings in Berne recently attended by Emirates Post officials led by Abdulla Al Daboos, President of Emirates Post Group.

As member of the Council of Administration (CA), Emirates Post participated in a major meeting that decided to shift the venue.

The meetings discussed vital postal issues, including EMS (Express Mail Service), parcels, terminal dues and quality of service.

In addition, the team took part in the Postal Operations Council (POC) meetings as an observer.

Emirates Post also participated in UPU experts groups on postal payment services, which discussed multilateral agreement, financial relationships between designated operators and branding/positioning.
