Emirates Airline has announced the launch of the Arabic version of its mobile site, designed to allow customers across the Middle East and North Africa to check-in online; book, change or upgrade flights; and receive a boarding pass.
The Arabic mobile site has been simultaneously released in 15 countries, including the UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, the mobile site allows passengers to download Apple Passbook boarding passes to their smartphone for use at airports.
"Mobile device penetration in the Middle East and North Africa is steadily growing and we have been seeing strong usage on emirates.com from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt and Lebanon," said Shaikh Majid Al Mualla, divisional senior vice-president of Emirates commercial operations centre.
Aside from the Arabic mobile site, Emirates also has mobile sites available in English, German, Russian, Chinese, Turkish, French and Spanish. By the end of 2015, the airline will add mobile sites in Italian, Greek, Korean, Polish and Taiwanese.
