Emirates ID celebrates Zayed Humanitarian Day

Marking Zayed Humanitarian Day, commemorating the passing of the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Registration Centers of the Emirates Identity Authority have launched a number of charitable and humanitarian events and activities.

Emirates ID’s participation in the event, being held this year under the slogan “Love and Loyalty to Zayed the Benevolent”, is aimed at inspiring the values and culture of humanitarian work among UAE society members and encouraging them to follow in the footsteps of the great leader whose name is linked in the minds of all people with charity and giving, regardless of religion, race and gender.

A number of customer Service employees at the Al Wahda Centre of Emirates ID in Abu Dhabi paid a visit to the people with special needs at Ewaa Centre during which they spent time with the centre’s elderly and children, and gave them gifts. The delegation expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the employees of the Ewaa Centre for their efforts in providing the best services to people with special needs, giving them gifts and handing over the Emirates ID shield to the centre’s administration.

The Al Ain Customer Service Center of Emirates ID gave out Iftar meals, fruits and gifts to labourers at the labour camp in Mazyad area. The initiative was aimed at consolidating the habits of Muslims and instilling the spirit of love and compassion during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

A number of customer service employees at Al Fujairah Centre visited the pediatric section at Al Madina Hospital, where they gave out gifts to the children. The representatives also visited children with Thalassemia at the hospital.

For their part, the customer service employees at Ras Al Khaimah Centre of Emirates ID organized an Iftar initiative at Sadoura and Awafi areas in Ras Al Khaimah. The initiative was aimed to consolidate social inter-dependence, support low-income individuals during the Holy Month, and reinstate the values of charity and compassion among UAE society members. The Centre’s employees prepared Iftar meals and distributed them to labourers.
