As this year's final supermoon lit up the night skies on Thursday, several sky gazers were left in awe as they watched the celestial event during the holy month of Ramadan.
One such amateur astronomical photographer, Mohamed Almaazmi, who works with the Emirates Group, captured a closeup of the supermoon which was posted on Instagram. Almaazmi is among the thousands of UAE citizens and residents who witnessed the supermoon whilst supporting #StayHome.

The year's final supermoon, a full moon which occurs when the moon is at its closest point to Earth, is also known as the "Flower Moon" and is about six per cent larger than a typical full moon, Daily Mail reported.
