Eid holidays for public and private sectors announced

The UAE Ministry of Labour declared the first and second days of Shawwal as holidays for all private sector employees

The UAE government has announced five-day Eid Al Fitr holidays for the public sector and two days for private sector employees.

Under the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Education and Director-General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi declared that the public sector holidays will begin on July 27, the 29th day of the holy month of Ramadan, 1435 Hijri. Normal federal government business hours will resume on Sunday, August 3.

The UAE Ministry of Labour declared the first and second days of Shawwal as holidays for all private sector employees. The holiday announcment was made by Minister of Labour Saqr Ghobash Saeed Ghobash.
