Eid Al Fitr: Up to 60% discount on food items in Dubai

Early discounts allow consumers to buy what they need without crowding the stores.

Hypermarkets in Dubai have announced 20 to 60 per cent discounts on key food products ahead of Eid Al Fitr, Emarat Al Youm reported on Wednesday.
Mohammed Yousuf Al Khaga, head of Emirates Cooperative Society hypermarket, said that all its branches will offer discounts between 20 and 60 per cent on products such as poultry, fruits and candy, which usually see huge demand during Eid. Discounts will also be offered on rice, pasta and canned food, he added.
He pointed out that early discounts allow consumers to buy what they need without crowding the stores. The discounts will continue during Eid as well, he said.
Khalid Al Falasi, chief executive officer of Union Cooperative Society, said that starting tomorrow, many offers with 50 per cent discounts will be announced, adding that the discounts will be available on food products including meat and poultry, fruits and vegetables, dry fruits and desserts.
