Thirty-five paintings will be put on display during the show, an initiative of Dubai TV’s General Manager Ali Khalifa Rumaithi. The show will also be attended by Egyptian Ambassador to the UAE Ibrahim Hafeez.

Sarhan studied music and painting at the Fine Arts Faculty in Alexandria in 1963. With 38 years of experience as an artist, he has been living in Dubai with his family for 17 years when they went back to Egypt in 1992. Now in his early 60s, he returned to the UAE last year along with his son and settled in Sharjah where he is currently teaching music and painting.

He believes that all his pieces illustrate a distinct colour combination, which is where his strength lies as an artist. This is confirmed by a fellow painter who describes his use of colours as ‘wonderful which fascinate the viewers, all of these are collected in one meaning to achieve a complementary artistic value to the subject’.
