The agreement was signed by Abdullah Al Daboos, Director-General of Emirates Post, and Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Under-Secretary at the UAE Ministry of Finance and Industry, at Emirates Post headquarters in Dubai.

Under the agreement, all Emirates Post post-offices will sell eDirham cards, besides accepting eDirham cards as payment for postal counter services such as P.O. Box renewal, EMS, Parcel and Money Order and online renewal of P.O. Boxes on the Emirates Post web site.

"The eDirham has become an important mode of payment all over the country. It provides the members of the public to pay for public services without the need to carry cash," said Al Daboos, Director-General, Emirates Post. "We would like to thank the Ministry of Finance and Industry for offering the sale of eDirham through the postal network."

"The introduction of eDirham has brought speed and efficiency into public transactions," said Khalid Ali Al Bustani. "We are now pleased to make eDirham available to a wider segment through the extensive network of Emirates Post. We look forward to further collaboration with Emirates Post in other areas."
