The prestigious award was presented during an impressive ceremony organised by the Jordanian Philadelphia University and held at the Royal Cultural Centre, Amman, on May 18.

Worlds in Collision examines various aspects and dimensions of the events post-9/11, their background, causes, implications and repercussions. It interprets the phenomenon of extremism, political violence and terrorism. It also assesses the response in the wake of these events, which has taken the form of a war on terror. The book also envisages the future world order and its primary premise is based on the fact that what happened on 9/11 represents, in reality, a collision of worlds — a collision between different actors and political entities locked in a struggle for power and influence.
