He identified these objectives as reducing time taken to deliver various civic services, improving internal processes where possible, providing tangible savings for the customer and for the municipality, introducing the latest technology, and increasing customer satisfaction.

"The launch of these e-Services has made civic procedures easier for the public as the statistics proves. So far, more than 200,000 online transactions have been carried out on the portal," he said.

Some of the current e-Services include No Objection Certification (NOC), Dubai Central Laboratory test results for engineering materials test, food test; certificates such as block and sand certificates; equipment calibration; food control health certificates, Dubai municipality clinic health certificates, veterinary health certificates, one-stop inspection and fine results inquiry.

Dubai Municipality also provides online services for building services, geographical information system (GIS), revenue collection and hazardous waste disposal.

The civic body plans drainage and irrigation services, demarcation service, import and re-export certificates, inquiry service for viewing geographical map of plots, online study and research, directory of services, SMS service and registration of companies and individuals.

A service, called the Dubai Central Laboratory engineering materials test results, serves the consultants working on various types of construction projects in the emirate, varying from roads, building, drainage or also private projects.

The laboratory's service on food test results allows private companies, who import food products into the emirate, to apply for a food test online, check the test request status and receive the result on the web site.
