Mr Rashid noted that the step was aimed at boosting the administration of the municipality. "The plan, which will help to establish an electronic system at the municipality, covered several departments including the financial and administrative affairs, tenancy contracts' attestation unit, food laboratory, among others," he pointed out.

Mr Rasheed explained that a new registration system was introduced at the administration and financial affairs for the purpose of numbering buildings and roads in the emirate, adding that the project is being implemented in collaboration with the Town Planning and Survey Directorate.

"The policy of the comprehensive employee is also being implemented at the tenancy contracts' attestation unit in order to speed up the attestation procedures," Mr Rasheed acknowledged, observing that other programmes pertaining to employees affairs were also executed during the current year.
