Expert says that new unit will act as Court of First Instance, reduce number of steps taken to reach resolution
Minister of Education Humaid Mohammad Al Qattami and ITWorx President, Wael Amin signed the MoU.
After the signing ceremony, Humaid Mohammad Al Qattami said: “In line with directives from the UAE government and achievements made by the state, with respect to information and communication technology, the Ministry of Education places a strong emphasis on e-learning.”
The ceremony was attended by Acting Director General of the Ministry, Ali Mehad Al Suwaidi, and Acting Executive Director for Educational Affairs, Shaikha Al Shamsi, in addition to several officials from the Ministry. From ITWorx, the senior management attended, including General Manager of ITWorx in the UAE and Gulf, Ahmed Shaaban.
ITWorx President Wael Amin said: “We are proud of the opportunity to help the UAE Ministry of Education in achieving its e-learning vision. By virtue of this agreement we share our expertise and best practices around collaborative e-learning environments with the Ministry. We are confident that together we will be able to make a huge positive impact on the learning ecosystem in the UAE.”
The MoU is the latest in a series of important initiatives undertaken by the Ministry under the 2010-2020 development strategy.
Al Qattami underlined the Ministry’s keen interest in adopting an educational system that follows the highest global standards in terms of education and technology. He added that the MoU aimed to meet the needs of K12 schools, and the transformation of learning to a collaborative and interactive Internet-based process, through the Ministry’s cooperation with e-learning technology partners, such as ITWorx.
