The agreement aims at providing training to UAE nationals in the fields of Information Technology and Technical Studies. The agreement is part of DWA efforts in expanding its cooperation with other educational, academic, scientific and technical institutes in the country. The Technical Centre of the DUC will conduct training sessions and courses in information technology and business administration to the members and non-members of DWA to benefit from them.

Khawla Al Naboudah, Deputy Chairperson of DWA, signed the agreement on behalf of NCTC and Dr Mohammed Omar Hanafi, chairman of the Dubai University College signed for his institute. Dr Omar Hefni said: “The Technology Centre (TC) of the DUC will undertake the responsibility through their technical labs in the consultancy and training centre of DWA. The TC will also supervise and instal all the original software and applications, in addition to hardware maintenance. “It will provide a high-level instructor and training programmes. All candidates who undertake our training programmes in DWA will get their certificates accredited from leading IT companies under the supervision of TC.”

Speaking to Khaleej Times, Khawla Al Naboudah said the NCTC aimed at promoting the development of scientific skill and enhancing the creativity of UAE nationals — male and female — and help them acquire self-confidence to participate in the country’s development process.
