The group, which operates the Emirates airline, called on all Emirati jobseekers to apply for the vacancies according to their preferences and educational qualifications, Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm reported.
Adel Ahmad Al Redha, Chief Operating Officer, Emirates, said that the airline has always kept its doors open for hiring citizens, adding that the group had many educational programmes it uses to train its employees in different specialisations.
He added that the group's future plans are based on relying on national cadres to meet its demand for pilots, engineers and technicians who graduated from the Emirates Flight Training Academy. "We have more than 500 jobs annually in these fields," Al Redha noted.
Additionally, he said that more than 22,000 employees of more than 140 nationalities are working as cabin crew members with the airline, and the group needs 3,500 to 4,000 staff as cabin crew every year. He called on all Emiratis to seize the opportunities provided by Emirates.
