The attack comes two days after Pakistan launched its latest national campaign to stamp out the virus
The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) hosted the stay of the TV crew and facilitated coverage of tourism activities in the emirate.
DTCM also assisted a visit of 13 Swiss students from University of Applied Science in Chur, Switzerland, studying Tourism and Hospitality Management.
Hamad bin Mejren, DTCM Manager Missions, said that the four-member crew were in Dubai to produce two features on the emirate and its tourism incentives and activities.
"The two 12-minute serials will be on how Dubai's present state-of-the-art infrastructure has preserved its glorious past and its focus as the shopping centre of the Universe. This will be broadcast in the 'Around the World' programme, the second most popular TV programme on travel and tourism in Russia," said Mr Bin Mejren.
Mr Bin Mejren said that during the shooting, Dubai's touristic sites and activities were explored extensively: "Through media, we can market Dubai right up to people's doorstep. Dubai has fabulous tourist sites with lots of happenings and media can help us reach people by making them aware of year round activities in this part of the world."
The first feature on the emirate will be broadcast some time in the middle of April 2003.
