Dubai to host International Human Resources Conference

DUBAI — The UAE will host the first edition of the International Human Resources Conference and Exhibition (IHRC 2011) to create an annual platform for sustainable HR development.

Announcing the conference, Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qattami, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources said, the event is a strategic initiative to enhance the profile of the UAE’s human capital, locally and internationally.

The conference and the exhibition will be held at the Dubai International Conventions and Exhibitions Centre from January 19-20, 2011 under the theme, “Human Resources: The Sustainable Capital of the New Era.”

“The MENA region has a youth population of over 200 million below the age of 25. Their raw talent iswaiting to be moulded and groomed to take up important roles in shaping the society.”

The conference will discuss core issues ranging from challenges and strategies in human capital development, talent management, policies governing population and labour, and employment opportunities.

Over 300 human resources practitioners from leading public and private sector organisations and NGOs are estimated to attend the event in addition to several heads of states.
