Dubai to hold health forum

DUBAI - The Arab Hospitals Federation (AHF) will hold its Second Annual Forum in Dubai from May 29 to 30 at the Dubai International Convention Centre.

The forum is supported by the ministries of health in all 22 Arab countries, the Arab League, the World Health Organisation and the World Bank.

Dubbed MedHealth Dubai, the meeting is the first to bring together decision makers, key officials and medical practitioners from all Arab countries, to find solutions to challenges facing the health care sector in the new millennium.

Representatives from medical institutions and health ministries of the UAE, Kuwait, Morocco, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, Tunis, Qatar, Libya and Yemen will participate in the meeting which will be chaired by Dr Fawzi Adaimi, President of the AHF.

The Arab Hospitals Federation (AHF), a non-profit organisation, will present the Creativity Award for Pioneer Leaders in the Health Care Sector to General Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defence Minister, in view of his many accomplishments and achievements in Dubai that aim to enhance and develop the Arab health care industry to ensure a better future for the people.
