Dubai Studio City being showcased at Cannes festival

DUBAI — Dubai Studio City (DSC) is showcasing its state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities at the 60th Cannes Film Festival (CFF) in the Emirates Pavilion at the French Riviera. The festival commenced on Wednesday and will continue till May 27.

The festival is an important window to the global film industry as it is attended by leading actors, directors and producers, who gather together for two weeks of deal-making, screenings, seminars, red carpet premieres and networking.

Dubai Studio City Director Jamal Al Sharif, leading a five-member delegation to the CFF, said: "Dubai Studio City is keen on participating in such high-profile global events that facilitate interaction with key players in the entertainment industry. The event will help us develop new avenues for cooperation with leading filmmakers from around the globe as well as exchange expertise and monitor the development of the industry."

Dubai Studio City recently announced the completion of 78 per cent of its infrastructure work with the remaining scheduled to be completed by year-end.
