Colonel Omer Al Shamsi, Director, Operations, Dubai Police said the police followed up the call of the woman who found the child unattended and the child was attended to within 15 minutes.

He said the operation room received a call on Saturday at 10:45am from a Syrian woman that she has found a five-year-old Emirati boy on one of the internal roads near a kindergarten in Mirdiff.

The woman informed the police that the boy was alone and had no clue about his family.

Col. Shamsi said immediately after receiving the information, the nearest police patrol was alerted, and they reached the place in 16 minutes after receiving the call.

He said the police managed to reach the place in a short time despite having difficulties in finding the location and denied the charge that Dubai Police were reluctant in helping the boy.
