Dubai joined seven other members of BestCities in 2006, the world’s first and only convention bureau alliance covering five continents, to get their service standards certified to provide a professionally consistent and a quality-driven service.

BestCities Management holds its meeting every year in a different country, and this year Dubai got this honour to host this prestigious international event, the organisers said in a Press release.

The BestCities represent Cape Town, Copenhagen, Dubai, Edinburgh, Melbourne, San Juan, Singapore and Vancouver.

The idea of having a dedicated convention bureau to promote Dubai’s meeting, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) was put up by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

The partners in BestCities are the first convention bureaus in the world to certify their services. The certification will prove to clients that each partner provides professional, consistent and quality services.
