Dubai hosts meeting of BestCities’ CEOs
DUBAI - Dubai is hosting a four-day management committee meeting of the BestCities that would be attended by the chief executive officers of eight leading Convention Bureaus from around the world from March 23
Dubai joined seven other members of BestCities in 2006, the world’s first and only convention bureau alliance covering five continents, to get their service standards certified to provide a professionally consistent and a quality-driven service.
BestCities Management holds its meeting every year in a different country, and this year Dubai got this honour to host this prestigious international event, the organisers said in a Press release.
The BestCities represent Cape Town, Copenhagen, Dubai, Edinburgh, Melbourne, San Juan, Singapore and Vancouver.
The idea of having a dedicated convention bureau to promote Dubai’s meeting, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) was put up by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
