This year, the Modhesh Fun City features a dedicated entertainment hall with international stage shows, football matches on TV, movies on the latest 4D cinema and a funfair area with children’s rides and games.

A talent hall complete with art and craft, sand art and sculpting zones has been opened this year, along with the Tech Hall that has touch screen games and high-tech facilities, and the Construction Hall that offers a giant puzzle corner for some exercise of the mind.

As a member of the DSS organising committee, Dubai eGovernment is playing a major role at Modhesh Fun City by organising ‘Modhesh Friends Forum’, ‘Modhesh Web Sites Competition’, ‘Modhesh Digital Photo Competition’ and ‘Modhesh Fun Educational Zone’.

The Modhesh Fun Educational Zone combines knowledge with fun and is being hosted at Modhesh Fun City with support from the technology centre of Dubai University College. The total area is set up with 15 computers containing educational fun software, and provides children a chance to experience a range of exciting games, keyboarding programs and Microsoft Office learning programs.

The events being organised by Dubai eGovernment is part of its larger objective of promoting Information Technology. Dubai eGovernment has been vigorous in its efforts to ensure that the benefits of technology reach as wide a section of the population as possible.

Modhesh Fun City also hosts the Modhesh Friends Club, which has entertaining and educational activities for children. It gives them an opportunity to interact with friends from different communities and develop new skills.

In addition to storytelling, games, art and craft, theatre and music, children also get practical training by representing the DSS officially at occasions and events. Moreover, this year Dubai eGovernment has set up a Computer Zone at the club, where children have a chance to learn the basics about computers, including working with the Microsoft Office applications.
