Dubai Crown Prince issues Executive Decisions

DUBAI - Crown Prince of Dubai Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, has issued three executive decisions, each on the operation of water taxis, the ratification of traffic fees and fines and fees for the services of Dubai Health Authority respectively.

Sheikh Hamdan also issued a rule regulating the functions of the equalisation assessment bodies in the Emirate of Dubai.

The Executive Decision No.18/Year 2010 pertained to the operation of water taxis and mandated the Public Transport Agency of the Roads and Transport Authority to run water taxi services in the emirate of Dubai.

Executive Decision No. 19 of 2010 ratified the fees and fines resulting from the Law on Electronic Tolling in the Emirate of Dubai as classified in Law No. 22 of 2006. The new decision also nullified Decision No.17/Year 2006 pertaining to the tolling and fines.

The Executive Decision No. 20 of 2010 defined the parties responsible for the payment of fees for health services provided by Health Authority in Dubai, whereby the expenses of all healthcare services for non-citizens should be borne by the patients or their sponsors.
