Dubai charity helps prisoners in Sudan

KHARTOUM - Around 47 insolvent inmates in Sudanese prisons walked to freedom on Wednesday after the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Foundation paid blood money worth Dh2 million.

This is not the first time for the UAE foundation to do such a humanitarian gesture which reflects the UAE generosity at Arab and International levels, chief judge in Sudan Jalal Al Din Othman told a ceremony organised by the Sudanese Federal Reformatory Department to mark the release of the inmates.
