Dubai's fast-expanding portfolio of 372 hotels and hotel apartments posted 37 per cent revenue growth in 2004 after these properties hosted an all-time record 5.4 million guests.

Germany, France, Italy and China are among the top 20 non-Arab source markets for Dubai's booming tourism industry. Visitors from four countries have been showing significant year-on-year growth in both business and leisure segments.

Destination Dubai offers an unprecedented wealth of information on almost everything about the emirate along with an updated directory of hotels, tourism-related companies and a bigger Dubai Map with legend.

Featuring a scene from the iconic Madinat Jumeirah on its cover, the glossy, user-friendly publication forms a crucial component of the department's bouquet of promotional literature.

The annual publication, utilised extensively by the industry professionals worldwide, offers information on different facets of Dubai, including history, new projects, shopping, dining and entertainment.

The flagship manual in English language has remained popular since its launch 14 years ago as it is a popular promotional and marketing tool and offers the industry players all the information needed to put together packages and itineraries.

The manual offers information on local cuisines, facilities for the physically-challenged visitors and the social relevance of the holy month of Ramadan.
