New documentary features rare visuals and anecdotes from the leader's former training officers
According to the case history, Ibrahim lured his friend with a drink to an isolated area and then served him carbonated water mixed with some drugs. Once his friend slipped into an unconscious state, he tied his feet and stole his money.
The victim, who landed in Dubai only a few months ago looking for a job, gained consciousness after a while and wobbled across to a house in the vicinity after freeing himself from the rope tied to his feet.
The owner of the house opened the door, and when the victim tried to force his way in in a drunken manner, called the police. The police arrived and took him to a hospital, where a more sober person related his story. He also told the police where they could find the accused.
Ibrahim was arrested, and on interrogation, confessed to the crime. He, however, claimed that he carried out his plan only to take revenge since the victim got engaged to a neighbourhood girl whom he wanted to marry.
