According to court records, the accused, who was not identified, was arrested after undercover policemen seized half a kilogramme of drugs from his possession. When interrogated, he claimed that he was a police informant and was carrying the contraband to deliver to a ‘wanted’ person. The anti-narcotics officers then took him to a police station but the policemen on duty could not recognise him. He was then referred to the Public Prosecution, which charged him with possessing narcotics with the intent of drug trafficking.
