The Sharjah Police rescued a 27-year-old Emirati national whose vehicle experienced a stuck throttle at high speed of 112 km/h on Malaiha road towards Sharjah city.
The Sharjah Police received a call at the operation room at 4am about the incident and at once dispatched the nearest patrol on the same road that reached the troubled driver in less than two minutes. The police operation room linked the driver with patrol officer who instructed him to fasten his seat belt and put on the hazard signals.
Some police patrols were also instructed to move ahead of the vehicle to clear the road and prevent any accident. The patrol that accompanied the Emirati's vehicle with a stuck accelerator managed to stop it by attaching the police car to it in a way to bring down its speed. The driver was rescued by the police.
